This information is required annually by the Wellington Playcentre Association as part of its commitment to maintaining quality education
programmes. The information gathered is used to help the Team create the What’s On and for succession planning and maintaining a
database of tutors. The information will be retained in confidence by the Education Team for 2 years and will then be destroyed.

Professional Development: Playcentre has an agreement with NZQA that our tutors will undertake at least 6 hours of
professional development each year.
6. What professional development have you done over the last 12 months, that relates to your tutoring (include approx.
hrs). PD could include, for example, further Playcentre course/workshop training, external training courses relevant to
children or tutoring. For further examples, please refer to pages 22-23 of your Tutors’ Kit.
7. What professional development opportunities would you like the Education Team to offer tutors during the next year
and in what format (e.g., week day evening/weekend, whole day/2 hr etc)? For example, would you be interested in:
networking with other tutors in the same area; learning more about adult learning styles; update on relevant research or
publications e.g. Kei Tua o te Pae; support for tutor practices and techniques such as time management and giving
feedback; or other issues?
