Dear Lisa Craig, I'm family member of you, [you are my second niece], I live in the Netherlands Holland, now live in city of Groningen, my name is "Christiaan Herman Buijtenhuijs" (Chris). My mother and father are also second cousins, that explains why my two grandmothers Jet Mooij and Jo Mooij were nieces. That is why I’m named after my great-grandfathers; the brothers Chris Mooij and Herman Mooij, [sons of Arend Mooij, Pastor lived from 18321912]. These two brothers Chris and Herman Mooij lived in Harderwijk working at their, nowdays called "Flevo publishing/printing shop". I knew Jacobus Mooij (Koos) myself, because his sister is my grandmother on mothers side. Her name was Henriette Hahn-Mooij (Jet), born 22-03-1908 and died 19-11-2003, she was married to Louis Hahn, philosopher, and he was a Dutch Tropical Agriculture Engineer worked on oil-palm-plantation in Indonesia for many years. On their 50th and 60th wedding-anniversary, I’ve met and spoken and filmed your grandfather Koos and his children several times! Did you know or ever meet my grandmother Jet (she is the sister of your grandfather Jacobus Mooij) in Holland? She is not in the Mooij-geni-site we’ve just found on The "Mooij family" als USA-branche: ( whom emigrated to the USA - Missouri) with whom we’ve tried to correspond, but did not succeed to find their adress. We were unsuccessfully searching for more information about my great-uncle Harry Mooij, [son of Christiaan Albertus Mooij, born 13-02-1873 and died 24-09-1936]; he is the brother of my grandmother Jo Buijtenhuijs-Mooij (from my father’s side). Her sister was called Aunt Tiny von Münching-Mooij, she was married to uncle Frits von Münching; (engineer in aeroplane-Rolls Royce engines from Amsterdam), they had no children. Harry’s daughter, Joke Mooij was married to a mr. Walter Vonder Haar. The mother of Joke was aunt Map Mooij (also lived in Missouri) she died in 2008. We cannot find any information or adress, can you help us on this? Dear Cousin, The M. Mooij you linked to is someone I knew as Tante Grete. She is the sister of my grandfather, Jacobus Mooij. Lisa Craig 2/21/2014 at 4:07 PM I'm thinking that the M. Mooij you are looking for is Margaretha Mooij who was married to Hermanus Mooij who was the father of my Opa, Jacobus, Margaretha, Arend, Ryn, Theodor, Hermanus, Annie and Yet. (My grandfather, Jacobus, was the youngest and passed away in Jan 1 of 2008). I do know about the print shop in Hardewijk! Are you able to see the whole family tree? My husband, daughter and I are going to be in Harderwijk this August. I would love to meet up with family genealogists. Lisa Craig (nee Mooij) lisa.melody@gmail.com Dear Family, Managers of Margaretha Mooij, I am contacting you about this profile: M. Mooij (my grandmother), as I wanted to show this site information to my mother (born 14-11-1932) her daughter.
