AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT
Your authentic assessment for this course will be a year-long
journal consisting of four entries – one for each of the
following chapters: 8, 9, 4, and 6.
Each entry is worth 25 points and should follow the outline
provided in the last three pages of this document. You may
adjust the spacing of the outline if you need more room.
Each journal must include an application problem. This
problem must be selected from the list of acceptable
problems provided on the following page.
One point will be deducted from your journal entry for each
day it is overdue.
ALL JOURNAL ENTRIES MUST BE TYPED;
however, you may leave room for the mathematics to be
written by hand. NO ENGLISH MAY BE WRITTEN BY HAND

Electronic submissions of journals WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Journals must be printed AND STAPLED (no paper clips).
