Late Night Supervisor, #14-019
Campus Dining-Tiger Cooler
Reporting to the Tiger Cooler Manager, supervises the Tiger Cooler operation, primarily on
the late night and evening shifts. Responsible for the supervision of regular and student
employees and maintaining high standards for food preparation, safety, sanitation, cash
handling and record keeping.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:









Supervises the staff on duty at the Tiger Cooler. Trains employees in proper
procedures. Handles immediate issues as they arise, following department and
College policies and practices.
Enforces the College’s Rules of Conduct and Performance. Takes verbal disciplinary
action as needed. Makes recommendations for further disciplinary action and assists
with follow-through. Ensures that food and beverages are produced in an efficient,
timely manner, and within established quality standards.
Monitors cashiering and cash handling functions. Investigates discrepancies. Enforces
policies.
Interacts with customers. Answers questions, solves problems, enforces policies.
Fosters positive customer relations. Handles customer interactions graciously.
Presents a professional image.
Maintains high standards for sanitation and food safety. Ensures compliance with
Department of Health Services, ServSafe and department policies for food safety and
workplace sanitation.
Performs all duties in a safe manner. Ensures staff, guest, food, equipment and facility
safety at all times. Takes positive action to prevent work related accidents and injuries.
Trains employees in safe work place practices. Reports any safety hazards. Makes
suggestions for workplace safety improvements. Suggests and implements modified
work duties to accommodate employees with work restrictions resulting from work
related injuries when necessary.
Oversees the interior & exterior dining spaces. Maintains the orderliness & cleanliness
of the dining areas. Ensures set ups for events are completed and furniture is returned
to proper location at close of business.
Works in any staff position as needed due to the fluctuating work load. Prepares food
& beverage items. Cooks food items in the absence of the grill or pizza cook.
Contributes to a positive and cooperative work environment. Assists other team
members with major campus events, catering, theme meals, special projects and peak
workload periods.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a high volume snack bar and or restaurant.
Must have ServSafe Manager certification required or obtain within probationary period
and must maintain certification at all times. College or university experience preferred.
Requires knowledge of working a espresso machines & their proper use. Must be able to
organize time & work effectively in a busy environment. Must be able to lift at least 30
pounds and be able to tolerate the physical requirements of frequent walking, extended
bending and repetitive motion. Requires the ability to operate a point of sale register &
accurately balance cash. Must have excellent customer service skills & maintain a clean &
orderly appearance. Must be able to read, write & converse fluently in English. Must be
able to work effectively within a diverse community of students, employees, faculty, staff
and others. Must possess a high degree of integrity, ethics and dedication to the mission of
the College.
SCHEDULE
Sunday, Monday & Thursday: 3:30p.m. – Midnight
Friday & Saturday: 6:30p.m. – 3:00a.m.
Tuesday & Wednesday: OFF
COMPENSATION
 Salary is dependent on qualifications, experience, and divisional equity
 This is a Full-time 40/hour, 9-month position. Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision
 Salary Range: $16.00-16.50/hour
