RECITAL INFORMATION
SHOW DATE: SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2016 - 2:00 PM
Dear Parents,
Your child is invited to perform in the annual WEBBY Dance Company dance recital. For those of you whose
child has not yet participated in a WEBBY Dance Company recital, you're in for a "real treat". The recital will
be performed Sunday, May 22nd at 2:00 PM in the McAuley High School Auditorium. Each class will
perform a dance routine which has been costumed and choreographed especially for them. In addition, all
students will participate in the "finale". There will be approximately 175 performers.
COSTUMES: Costumes have been selected for each dance class and photographs will be on display in
January. The costumes include: tights (socks for boys), headpieces/accessories and are yours to keep.
Students will be measured in class to assure proper fit of costumes. All costumes are ordered from
professional costume companies, and require approximately 12-14 weeks for delivery. We are required to
pay for the costumes when the order is placed, and for that reason, we must receive your costume deposit
by Friday, January 22nd, 2016, in order to reserve your child a spot in the recital. This year, WEBBY Dance
Company is offering an optional payment plan to spread the cost out.
RECITAL FEE: Each family will be charged a recital fee to cover production costs incurred from printing,
recording, stage props, costume ordering/shipping, etc. A quality recital requires many hours of work for the
staff of WEBBY Dance Company and there are numerous “behind the scenes expenses”.
REHEARSALS: The students will learn their show routines during regular class times. The dress rehearsal
will take place at McAuley High School on Friday evening, May 20th, 2015 at 6:00 PM.
TICKETS: Admission to the performance will be $11.00 per person (children two and under admitted free).
Tickets will be available for purchase in April. All performers and "parent helpers" do not need a ticket.
Costs such as program setup and ticket printing, auditorium rental, stage crew and stage manager, special
effects, etc. will be covered by the ticket sales. You are welcome to invite family and friends to join you for
this special event.
PARENT HELPERS: The performers will remain in the school cafeteria during the show, and we will need
two parents to assist each class (approx. 6-10 students). Dancers need help with costume accessories,
tying shoes securely, restroom break, being brought to side-stage for their dance and lining up for the finale.
Parent helpers will be able to view their child's performance from the stage. Admission is free to parent
helpers. Our show could not go on without your help, and we appreciate those who volunteer. Please call

It is my goal to produce a program that is a fun and educational experience for the dance students as well as
an entertaining attraction for the entire audience. Performance is an important part of dance and owning
ones’ dance costume is a thrill that lasts a lifetime. We hope you allow your child to perform with us!

All costumes are ordered from professional costume companies and take 12-14 weeks for delivery, but must be
