Excerpts From Pastor Letters - 2011
Patrick - I am 35 years of age. I do some little farming near our home place to earn my
living and even support my parents. The life back at our home is very hard because like
now there is no rain and hunger is knocking at the door, some parts of the country cows
and goats are dying due to famine. Pray for us here so that we can get enough rains.
Ruth - Since I joined the Morell Pastor Training School I have got a new joy of accepting
myself more truly than I used to. The Lord has blessed me with a new joy of my own
heart. I have got a new vision of reaching single mothers and orphans with the gospel.
Julius - I am married to Jerica and God has blessed us with 3 boys. The lord called me to
His ministry and since I joined this school I have seen God working on our side. My
heart is now more encouraged and strengthened both to my family and the church. The
Lord has blessed me with 7 local goats and I look forward to raising more with the
knowledge I learnt at the class. I learnt much on how to use little to earn much and
enough in our local area. The land is dry but we trust God for the rains soon.
David - I am a pastor married to one wife, Rebecca. We have been blessed with 3
children, 2 girls and 1 boy. The Lord has blessed us to be at peace with my wife and
children. We worship under a tree because we don't have a building but we are praying
that we can get money to build at least a temporary structure due to much sun rays and
rain if it ever come to rain. The Lord has blessed me with 2 local goats and 3 chickens.
It is my prayer I start keeping more chicken according to the training we got from
Bridges studies on how to keep more chicken and goats.
Julia - I am an assistant Pastor serving in Tharaka church. I am single and in family of 4
children and now living with the mother who is 63 years old. I am 30 years and I thank
God the church I am now teaching has grown in numbers and is also growing much more
in giving. I thank God we were taught to teach and equip our members to practice giving
so that our African churches will turn into supportive churches.
William - I am 38 years old and married to Beatrice and blessed with 4 children, 3 girls
and 1 boy. I am pastoring a church with a Sunday service attendance of 50-70 members.
The Lord has blessed me to open my eyes more when I attended the Bridges Pastor
Training School. God has blessed me to start seeing things that I can do to earn a living
by using the locally available resourses in our area.
Edwin - I am married to Lucy and blessed with 1 girl child. I work as pastor in a church
traveling as far as 16Km to and from the church. I am praying God will bless me with at
least a bicycle. Having many orphans who need my support I have a prayer to start an
orphanage near the church so that I can help them to eat and drink and even to educate
them. May the Lord bless you and bless all the Donors who are helping us to do our
studies in Morell School.
