HELP FLOOD VICTIMS
The recent flooding in Estes Park and other Colorado communities has caught the nation’s
attention. Maybe you have heard some of the amazing stories coming out in that area, and maybe
you have thought how can I help? Pastor Ada has contacted Rev Seth Clemmer of Mount Calvary
Lutheran Church in Estes Park and he indicated that they were establishing a fund to help
members who were displaced because of the floods. If you would like to help you can contact
Rev. Clemmer at (970) 586-4646 for more information.
BUILDING EXPANSION PLAN
This afternoon at 12:00 pm there will be another congregational forum
that is being held so that our congregational president, Kurt Norem,
can inform you about a proposal for building expansion and
improvements here at BSLC. For anyone who cannot be in church we
will videotape this information forum and post on the website. A SPECIAL VOTER’S
MEETING will be held on October 13th at 12:00 pm. The purpose of this meeting will be to
consider and vote upon the building expansion and improvement plan as set forth by the church
council.
CHURCH EMAIL IS NOW UP AND RUNNING!
Special thanks to Fred Gruhn and Andrew Willey for making this
happen! We now have 2 new email providers: one for the day-to
day email and another that will handle large distribution lists
(ie: The Info as You Go, Newsletter, or Congregational emails). It
is imperative that we have everyone’s email address! Husbands AND wives, all adults, college
age kids, and youth. Please email the church office and provide any all addresses for your
family. Thanks!
HAVE YOU CHECKED the church website lately? Or have you misplaced that small slip of
paper that Andrew Willey gave you a few years ago? Did you know you can retrieve that
information? Just go to the church web-site www.bslcks.org, click log-in
on top right hand corner and type in your first name, a dash (-) and your
last name. Put in a password that you think it might be and then when the
error comes back click “forgot your password?” An email will be sent
where you can recover your password. You can then change your
password to whatever you wish. If you have never had a password, or
have changed your email address lately, this procedure will not work. We are working to get the
system updated. Email the church office office@bslcks.org with any questions you may have.

CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH “We ask you,
brothers, to respect those who labor among
you and are over you in the Lord and
admonish you, and to esteem them very
highly in love because of their work…”
1 Thessalonians 5: 12-13. This month,
please consider ways you might encourage
and honor Pastor Schultz, Pastor Ada,
Pastor Kjergaard, and Vicar Kapels for their leadership and
service as we partner to “Connect People to Jesus.” Perhaps
you might verbally thank them for their work among us and
in the community or tuck a note in their mailboxes or send a
card to them. Never fail to keep them in your prayers that all
that we do together here at Beautiful Savior and through our
outreach may be to the glory and praise of God.

6-week class held on Sunday mornings during Education

lots of cash! There are many ways to
preserve those memories. How about
one made from cereal boxes? Or file folders? You don’t have
to have lots of creativity or supplies. Come find out when
several ladies will give quick mini sessions on how to get
started and how to make that special gift for someone…or
yourself! These 5-10 minute sessions will take place on
Friday evening. Check your invitation for all the details!

in Christ. Thank you to the 1st – 6th grade classes for
assembling the sack lunches that will be distributed to the
homeless in the Kansas City area this fall. Thank you also to

OUR USE OF MONEY
REVEALS OUR HEARTS.
STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Is your faith affecting your financial choices? Are you being a faithful
steward with your money by seeking God’s input? Life is a series of
decisions about how you will use and manage your money.
Remembering that God is the owner will help you to be a faithful
steward. As a steward, you need to turn the control of your finances
over to the Lord. Seeking God’s wisdom and guidance with your
money will reduce stress and tension and give you peace and comfort
knowing that He is in control.
“For where your treasure is,
there your heart will be also”
Matthew 6:21
