interior design profession. Emphasis will be placed upon the proper selection and specification of
fabrics for floor, wall and panels and partitions, upholstery and window treatments. Relevant
construction documents, product standards, care, safety legislation, and green concerns will be
discussed in context with each application. Field trips will introduce the student to the role of the
workroom in the design process. Textile representative(s) will provide context for ordering and

culture of the time. Five classes to be held on campus: 1/31; 2/7; 3/7; 4/25 and 5/2. Field trip to
Metropolitan Museum of Art on 3/21. The remainder of the course will be online.
