Chapter Three
Program Management
The Program Management chapter is directed toward the district’s technical
personnel. Described in the following pages are the facilities that allow the
technical staff to define batch and on-line programs to TERMS. In addition,
a narrative may be attached to each program giving a brief explanation of
the program functions and features.
All programs created by EDR will be delivered with definitions and
narratives.

A125 • Batch Definition
Purpose:
This panel is used to define the batch programs that will be submitted
for a given batch submission panel. The definition of a batch program
includes assigning sort sequences and optionally securing on record
authority fields to prevent the selection of records not owned by the
user.

A126 • Program Definition
Purpose:
This panel is used to define each on-line and batch program to
TERMS. If a program is not defined, it will not be recognized by the
router, and therefore, will not be accessible. The Local Element
portion of this panel indicates, if applicable, the number of local
elements built into the program specified in the Program element. This
number is predefined by TERMS.
