high school or equivalency is required.

This course is designed for students from any non-English language background, and the student may be
at any level of English writing ability. It is a course that should improve the student’s listening ability
just as much as his/her speaking ability. Keep in mind that it is nearly impossible for an adult to
become completely fluent in American spoken English, particularly within fifteen weeks. Attendance,
participation and practice are extremely important in order to gain success in this course.
