Henry the 8th was forced to close the monasteries

Henry the 8th was forced to close the
monasteries due to poorly behaved monks
who were not living according to the rules.
“do you agree with the statement?
The monasteries in henry 8th s time were getting all the
money. Called one tithe. That was one of henrys
problems, money, and the monk’s behaviour. I think that
he closed down the monasteries because of the money.
Some will agree with the statement because the monks
were not living according to the rules the rules. They
were out drinking at the tavern/pub in which they are
getting drunk and doing silly things. hey should really be
looking after and living like the poor, eat and drink
simply and, wear very simple and rough clothes. That
also means nuns to.
Some will also agree with the statement because henry
had terrible money problem because he has been fighting
wars and they cost money, he had been fighting so many
wars he had lost all his money and now the monasteries
are getting it all. The churches get one tithe of everything
a person grows. so henry wasn’t having any of it so he
shut down the churches and build his own churches so he
would get then money handed to him and not the
monasteries the pope was no longer the head of the
church it was henry 8th .
I think that henry closed down the monasteries because
of his money problems. He had no money due to fighting
in wars, which cost money. Money was much more
important than the monks behaviour because,
You can live with the monk’s behaviour but you can’t
live without money. I think that he didn’t really care
about the monks behaviour he just want5ed the money to
fight more money so he could fight more wars and get
more countries therefore owning them and becoming
king of a bigger empire.
I think the monks behaviour is still important because
they are men of the church and they should live simply
and follow the monks rules.
