Barbara, who began her career at The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children in
1984 as a Residential Aide, currently serves as the School’s Employee Relations Director.
She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Child Development from the
University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, she earned a Masters Degree in Public
Management from the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management at
Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh. Barbara has achieved certification by the
Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Professional in Human Resources
(PHR).
