Confrontation of Danish and Polish climate.
Denmark has got coat temperate climate because it is located in the sea environment.
Poland belongs to temperate intermediate climatic zone. This country is situated between
oceanic climatic zone on the west side and continental climatic zone on the east side.
In Denmark winters stand out of fog appearance and warm temperatures in
consequence of west winds from seas. They cold summers and warm winters. Ipso facto the
change Danish weather at any time of year. Summers are warm and wet here.
In Poland we differentiate six seasons (winter, early spring, spring, summer, autmn
and early winter). In this country summers are hot and winters are cold and humid.
The average temperature of Denmark in summer amount to 16°C – 17 °C and while
sunny summer it can exeed 20°C. The average temperature of winter is 0°C. Snow and frost
hardly ever appear here.
One of features of Polish climate is large inconstancy of weather. Day and night's
temperatures for central parts of year:
-for spring: 5°C - 15°C
-for summer: over 15°C
-for autumn: 5°C - 15°C
-for winter: below 0°C
In Denmark we can observe about 610mm of precipitations during a year. The most
rainy months are: July, August, Sptember and November. In Poland the least sum of
precipitations (about 500mm) appears around Pomorskie and Lubuskie Lake Distric, while
the largest sum (even 1000mm) is watched at the highest parts of Sudety and Karpaty. The
average sum of precipitations for previous years amount to 700mm.
Sea streams affect climates of both countries. Gulf Stream affects Denmark, while
Norvegian Stream and North Atlantic Stream affects Poland.
