Magnus Huss
Magnus Huss is Director General at the Swedish Plastics and Chemicals Federation.
His academic background is a M. Sc. in Agronomy at the Swedish University of Agricultural
Sciences. Further education includes different courses in communication/public relation and
corporate finance at Stockholm School of Economics.
Mr. Huss has a long experience in communication and strategic planning for sustainable
development and a strong international network in the area. Prior to his current position, he was
senior advisor at the PR- and communication agency Springtime in Stockholm. He worked with
managements in both private and public sector. Earlier professional experience includes
managing director at Ragn-Sells (waste management), Secretary General of The Natural Step
(international NGO) and Head of Section at the Swedish Ministry of Finance.
Among other functions and assignments, Mr. Huss is a board member of Department of
Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and a former chairman of the
network “Communicators for the Environment”.
Mr. Huss is 48 y old and a father of two children. In his spare time, Mr. Huss enjoys the outdoors
and sports, both personally as well as a fan. He also coaches a handball team.
