This is a lovely way to begin the Christmas festivities and the service is open to all Arts
Scholars. Seats will not be reserved but allocated on a first come, first served basis in this
beautiful early City church. Begun in 1123 it contains magnificent Norman architecture.
Although only the east end now survives of a once great church it is well worth visiting.
The interior was used in the making of the films ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ and
‘Shakespeare in Love’.
After the service, mince pies and mulled wine will be served in the Great Hall of St
Bartholomews’ Hospital. There will be a collection during the service for Barts Health
NHS Trust.
Tickets for the service are free but the Clerk needs to know who will be attending.
