GRAVEL ROYALTIES
When gravel is required for road surfacing or construction, the Council may crush
a stockpile on private land and then compensate the landowner with a gravel
royalty.
Royalty payment amount will be negotiated with the landowners and will be
based on, but not limited to,







availability of gravel
quality of gravel
location of pit
access to pit
transportation costs
expected over burden removal costs
reclamation costs
