please call Patti Mortenson at 839-7406. Wooden clothes pins (non-spring type), plastic baby wipe boxes with
flip-up lids, colored tissue paper, ½ in – ¾ in acrylic gems, gold rick rack, masking tape, Styrofoam bowls,
feathers.
DISHES: Please check the kitchen for your dishes. If you have cooked a meal for someone recently your dishes
may have been dropped off to the church kitchen.
YOU CAN HELP! Donna Maatman will be participating in a triathlon called Tri-4-Freedom to support victims of
human trafficking and will be swimming for 1 hour, biking for 2 hours and running for 1 hour in Lexington, KY on
June 6 & 7.
Does this issue, which touches 27 million people worldwide, break your heart? Are you surprised to learn that at
least 250 people right here in Michigan are suffering through this? You can help by writing a check to Tri-4Freedom and putting it in Donna’s mailbox and she will turn in your contributions when she participates in this
event. Thank you for your prayers and support.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST: Attention Men! Mark your calendars and plan to attend the Men’s
Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, June 7 from 7:30-9am in the Fellowship Hall. Please sign up at the
Information Center if you plan to attend.
BABY ITEMS: Our Baby Item Project is in progress and will run until June 15. There is a Play Pen in the narthex
to drop off your donated items in. These items will be dispersed as needed by Carol Lambert who is part of the
Maternal Support Program through the Missaukee County Health Dept. She will be giving the items to new moms
in the community. Please note: Food items are NOT needed.
BIBLE BEE: In its 6th year, the Bible Bee is a family discipleship program with an emphasis on Bible study,
prayer, and Scripture memory. We are blessed to again host one of the Local Bible Bees at our church this
summer. Registration is open now at www.BibleBee.org. To receive your Bible Bee materials by June 1,
register by May 15. The National Bible Bee is geared for 7-18 year olds, but all family members are welcome to
participate as part of our Local Bee. If you are interested in joining the 2014 Local Bible Bee Planning Team or
would like more information about the Bee, please contact Amy Vredevoogd at amyvred@gmail.com or 8258278.
