Job Description – Pastor-in-training (BSF )

Bible Study Fellowship
To help fulfill the mission statement and vision of Jubilee Church by
supporting, shepherding, and building up Bible Study Fellowship.
Hours a week: 10-12 hours (flexible)
Saturday 9:30-12
Sunday 9-5

Areas of Responsibility
1. Bible Study Material
- Prepare biblical and relevant bible studies (with oversight from SAP)
- Train bible study leaders to skillfully interpret and handle Scripture faithfully
2. Recruit, Train, Shepherd, and Support BSF leaders
- Recruit and train BSF leaders to fulfill all expectations of a BSF leader
- Shepherd BSF leaders in order to model servant leadership
- Support BSF leaders in order for them to be spiritually healthy
3. Administrative Support
- Placement of groups every term
- Logistics of Saturday Leadership meetings (open and lock down, set up)
- general administration as needed
Other Responsibilities







Attend weekly pastor’s meetings (once a month during the school year/every week
during vacation)
Hold office hours during vacation (TBD)
Attend leadership meetings as needed.
Mandatory attendance for all church-wide events.
Occasionally lead and facilitate morning prayer.
Occasionally preach at Wednesday night service.
Other needs of the church, as needed/appropriate.
Position Requirements





Currently in the process of completing seminary degree (at least 1 yr completed).
Interest in a vocational experience in a church context.
Have been a part of, and active in Jubilee Church for a minimum of 6 months.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
Displays Christ-like character and growth.


Displays a heart for people.
Develop attitude of service towards other staff and pastors.
