In order to become an ECU Ambassador, one must be a full-time student and have at least a
2.75 cumulative GPA to be accepted and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA during
there time as an ECU Ambassador. There is no application fee. If selected, an individual will
be required to pay dues in the amount of $25 per semester plus the cost of attire. Weekly
meetings are to be held on Wednesday at 5:15. If you are selected to have an individual
interview you will be asked to attend the Ambassador mixer on September 12, 2015.

Please attach the following essays to your application. Maximum 350 words each.
1. One of our themes this year is inspired by the TV series Friends. Their theme song is “I’ll Be
There For You” by The Rembrandts. We believe this song fits our organization because we are
always striving to support one another. If you had to pick a theme song to your life, what would
it be and why?
2. As ECU Ambassadors, our organization chooses to “Move Forward by Giving Back” through
various community service events. Since service is a big part of being an Ambassador, what
impact has community service made in your life and how do you hope to further your
involvement in it?

You are required to provide one letter of reference. This may be your professor, employer,
advisor, resident advisor, or another professional who can attest to your characteristics, talents, skills, and
enthusiasm to serve as an ECU Ambassador. Please submit this reference letter to the ECU Ambassadors
email. The reference letter should not exceed one page. It should include their name, title, relationship to
the applicant, email address, and phone number. References may not be another student or current
Ambassador. Email and letter
A current photo is also required. This can be attached to this application or emailed to the
ECU Ambassadors email.
Schedule of Recruitment Process:
September 4th – Applications are due to the Dean Of Students Office by 5:00pm.
September 5th – You will be contacted between 9:00am-12:00pm as to whether or not you have
received a group interview.
September 7th-10th – Group interviews.
September 10th – You may be contacted between 6:00pm-9:00pm as to whether you have
received an individual interview.
September 11th – You may be contacted between 6:00pm-9:00pm as to whether you have
received an individual interview.
September 12th – Ambassador mixer. If you have received an individual interview, you will be
asked to attend a mixer on this day to get to know our current members. More details will be
given when contacted on September 11 th.
September 14th-17th – Individual Interviews.
September 17th – You may be contacted between 6:00pm-9:00pm as to whether or not you have
received a third interview. Depending on the amount of applications, a third interview may or
may not be held for final decisions.
September 18th – You may be contacted between 6:00pm-9:00pm as to whether or not you have
received a third interview. Depending on the amount of applications, a third interview may or
may not be held for final decisions.
September 19th – Possible third interview. More details will be given when contacted on
September 17th or 18th.
