Kindergarten Calendar 2008
1/7
Both classes attend PMK. We have a special guest
reader. We will attend the SJRS Epiphany Prayer Service at
1 o’clock with our buddies. Please join us in the church.
1/21
Martin Luther King Day. NO SCHOOL.
1/27-2/1 CATHOLIC SCHOOL WEEK.
Monday both classes attend PMK for our Catholic School
Week Liturgy at 1pm. Please join us. Each grade will have
representation at this liturgy.
7pm SJRS Spelling Bee in the PAC.
Tuesday Teacher’s Choice Day in K.

Wednesday Both classes attend AMK for our Prayer
Partner Prayer Service. We will have a special treat
following.
Thursday Puzzles and Pretzels.
Friday Both classes attend AMK for our annual Kathy Lowe
Concert. Kathy brings her beautiful, interactive music to
close this wonderful week for K, 1,2 &3. PTO generously
funds this annual event ~ THANK YOU for your support.
Saturday SJRS Grade 8 Spaghetti Supper, a feast not to
be missed!
There will be detailed information coming home in the
Wednesday Envelope and the Kindergarten News Letters.
2/6 ASH Wednesday. I invite you to join us for liturgy. AMK will
attend 9am liturgy and we will meet you on the white line at
8:40 so we can sit together. PMK attends 12:10 liturgy and we
will meet you on the white line at 11:50.
Our Lenten Journey begins.
2/7 Gung hay fat choy! Happy Chinese New Year! The year
of the rat.
2/14 We will celebrate St. Valentine’s Day in both classes.
2/25-2/29 NO SCHOOL< February Vacation.
3/3
Back to school!
March 6th Green Eggs & Ham breakfast. PMK joins AMK. Please
join us as we celebrate Dr. Seuss!
3/9
Daylight Savings Time Begins.
3/19 Both classes attend PMK. We will attend the Grade 8
presentation of The Passion. Please join us at 1pm in the
church. This is reverent and beautifully done by the eighth
grade.
3/20 Holy Thursday. The first day of spring.
3/21 Good Friday. No School.
3/23 Alleluia. He is risen.
3/24 Easter Monday and our classroom Easter celebration.
4/11 and 4/12 The SJRS Players present THE WIZARD OF OZ at
the Concord City Auditorium. You will be transported and
awed by the talent! (Not to mention the story!!!)
4/17 Grandparent’s Day Liturgy, both classes attend AMK.

4/20 – 4/25
April Vacation.
4/28 Back to School.
5/1 Both classes will attend Ascension Thursday liturgy during
their regular class time.
5/6 Both classes attend AMK. We go the Capital Center for a
performance of Max and Ruby.
5/11 Happy Mother’s Day!
5/15 Both classes attend PMK for the May Procession.
5/26 Memorial Day ~ No School.
5/28
Progress Fair and Ice Cream Social. Much more info
to come!
6/5 Kindergarten Graduation. Both classes attend AMK. We
will come over to PAC with our buddies at 9am. Please join us
and watch the transformation from kindergartner to first grader.
Summer vacation begins following the ceremony! See you in
the fall.
