Allocate & schedule time every day to be unavailable,
uninterruptable, and inaccessible to work on your daily
priorities
Always diagnose before you cause or accept
interruptions & disruptions by asking:
Acutely Clear Delegation
The Uncluttered Office
When delegating, always communicate with clarity of
what you want and most importantly when you want it
Purge and organize your office to create a stack-free,
clutter-free work environment
One-to-One Briefings
Email Management
Schedule time every week to meet with each direct
report for coaching, communicating, and collaborating
Keep only active emails in your Inbox and Sent Items
folders and schedule time every day for filing, deleting,
replying, composing, and managing
Organized Group Meetings
Master Project Status Report
Establish and follow a standardized format and template
for meeting agendas
Create a spreadsheet that defines the names of all of
your projects and determine the % that are on/ahead of
schedule every week
“Is it crucial, right now?”
Next Day Planning
Success Description

wrap-up today, do personal filing, take care of certain
emails, and plan tomorrow (including advance
delegation)
Establish clearly defined goals and tracking systems for
your position for the current fiscal year
Biographical Information
Bruce Breier is a Business Management Consultant headquartered in La Jolla, California, a

become more successful by becoming more organized.
Bruce began his consulting career in 1978 and is currently in his 33rd year as a facilitator,

organizational and operational systems. He believes that the need for tuning up organizational
systems is greater than ever and his programs are presented to management and leadership
teams throughout the United States.
