Be The Match is a unique nonprofit that delivers cures to blood cancer patients. Every four minutes
someone is diagnosed with a life threatening blood disease like leukemia, lymphoma, or sickle cell
anemia. For many, the only chance for a cure is a marrow transplant from someone outside their family.
Every dollar to Be The Match helps more patients afford transplant, adds potential marrow donors to
the Be The Match Registry® and funds our life-saving research.
If you can, add a local story and photo of a patient searching for a match or someone who received a
match because of Be The Match. Example: Be The Match supports patients like Betsy, a mother of two
little girls, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia and given three months to live. Her
only hope was to find a matching marrow donor and receive a transplant. Today she’s watching her girls
grow up and enjoying her seventh cancer-free year thanks to the kindness of a stranger and support
from companies like yours.

Each year, thousands of patients need a marrow transplant, but have no donor in their family. They
depend on Be The Match to help them find an unrelated donor and receive treatment. Most of us will
not have a marrow match in our family. At more than 11 million strong, the registry is the world’s largest
and most diverse listing of potential donors in the world.
