Account Code and Analysis Type Combinations for use in Journal Entries when the
Project Field is populated.
It is important to use the correct analysis type when entering a project on a journal line.
Since the upgrade to 8.8, any time a value is entered into the Project field on a journal entry, a subpage
pops up and the PC Business Unit, Activity ID, and Analysis Type must be populated.
Some department’s reports rely on that Analysis Type to pull data; therefore it is very important that it
be populated correctly. Please enter the correct Analysis Type as follows:
If the account is an Asset Account (begins with 1) … use Analysis Type GLA
If the account is a Liability Account (begins with 2) …use Analysis Type GLL
If the account is a Fund Equity Account (begins with 3) …use Analysis Type GLF
If the account is an Expenditure Account (begins with 5) …use Analysis Type GLE
If the account is a Revenue Account (begins with 7) …use Analysis Type GLR
A public query to check your journals for the correct analysis type before posting is in process. When it
is completed a notice will be sent to OASIS GL users.
