PROFILE
Eleven years of experience as translator and interpreter for the US Army in Kosovo.Expertise in
religious, economic and political, technical, engineering, legal and military terminology. I am native
Macedonian/Serbian (raised by Serbian mother) speaker, fluent in English (speaking, writing). I have
been working as Freelance Translator from home, and I have successful business relationship with
many translation companies all over the world, (check out my proz account).
EXPERIENCE
From Sept. 2000 to July 2011; TRW/NORTHROP GRUMMAN: Category 1 linguist; interpreted and
translated for various units such as: US Chaplain Office, working with local Christian Leaders, priests
and monks, in many projects that had goal to help the IDPs and their families, Civil Affairs
(interpreting and translating between local government officials and their US Army counterparts;
JAG (interpreting and translating legal documents for law suits, court cases, etc.), TV( translating of
the news and verbal interpreting during live broadcasts), and newspaper (written translations of
various articles) and all other mission and projects of the NATO– led multi-national security force
(KFOR). Proofread legal and technical reports from local communities submitted to NATO related to
vehicle accidents, medical treatment translations and checking list of injuries for accuracy. Primary
assignments included: 2 years of experience for the US Army Public Relations Office; and 2 years of
linguist experience for US Army Liaison Monitoring Teams involved in various civic projects to
include translating legal and financial support documents between the Liaison Monitoring Team and
local community leaders. I had extensive communication in person, over the telephone or using
Internet resources.
I must emphasize the fact that I have worked with US Chaplains because of my religious way of living
and extensive knowledge of churches and monasteries in Kosovo and Macedonia.
I provide translations services for many translation companies all over the world, working as a
Freelance Translator, from home. My primary goal is to bring satisfaction my costumers with my
linguistic services (translation, proofreading).
Currently I am cooperating with ITC and EMBRA COOPERATION, as a consultant, educator and
trainer. I have provided some training courses for OSCE Mission in Skopje, Macedonia, concerning
the better writing skills and structuring of the written material.

Speaking about my personal development in the previous year, I can say that aside from my every
day's translation tasks, that I have in my line of duty in Macedonian and Serbian language, (I am full
time freelance translator and that is my main source of income), I have been watching Serbian TV
stations and reading Serbian newspapers on regular base. I also speak with my mother and my
brother every day. About my professional development, I must emphasize the fact that I have been
attending classes for professional training in “Business English language”, “Personal Development
Plan”, “Professional Development Plan” and classes for making a “Business Plan”. These courses
have been organized by my municipality in cooperation with the Non Government Organization –
“LinkAcross”, with the guidance of Mr. Jonathan Mangels, Director of economic development and
Madam Violeta Mancevska, Master of social sciences.
