Service interruption due to Hurricane IKE
Texas Gulf Coast Area
September 12 to September 15
Everyone is aware that Hurricane Ike is currently heading toward the Texas Gulf
Coast, forecast at this time to make landfall early Saturday Morning near Brazoria
County, just west of Galveston and southeast of Houston.
There is a large scale evacuation in some of this area at this time. The evacuation
and storm will cause delays in our system for all cargo going to or from the airport
cities of Houston (IAH), Corpus Christi (CRP), Brownsville (BRO) and New Orleans
(MSY).
At this time we have suspended all operations in Houston, and we will not
attempt to reopen our Houston office before Sunday afternoon September 14 at
the earliest. That will be very dependent on the weather and any related storm
damage in the area, and official road closings.
Again all cargo to the airport cities of Houston (IAH), Corpus Christi (CRP),
Brownsville (BRO) and New Orleans (MSY), will be affected by this storm. All cargo
to and from this area will be delayed until we can resume a normal operation,
hopefully early this next week.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people in this area.
Our Dallas/Ft Worth office will remain on a normal schedule during this time
frame and we will try and answers any and all questions about a return to a
normal schedule to these affected areas.
While our Houston office is closed you may contact us in Dallas/Ft Worth at 817
481-5858 or Corporately at 270 781-0655
