CASE: Typically we do this topic in July since that is the month when our new residents
arrive and a review is always a good thing for the rest of us, but this year we decided to
wait until everyone is settled in and would know more what they need in terms of
community resources, so thus Oct. We also decided to forego a case and provide a list of
some of the community resources we have found helpful for you over the years.
Obviously, there are many more resources in Franklin County than we have listed, but the
following are the most often requested. First Link is the agency which coordinates
information about most of the resources in Franklin County so if you can’t find a specific
resource for a patient; you can call FirstLink to ask them about the resource you are
seeking. That number is 221-2255. If you have a patient who is looking for the nearest
food pantry the number is Foodlink at 341-2282.
