“Sex Differences in Risk and Resilience for Preschool Disruptive Behaviors”
The aim of this grant is to evaluate whether high prenatal testosterone exposure, increased
prenatal stressor exposure, and dopaminergic alleles increase risk for preschool disruptive
behaviors in boys via high levels of approach, while low prenatal testosterone exposure, high
effortful control, high empathy and compliance, and high parent-child responsivity increase
resilience to preschool disruptive behaviors in girls.

“Predicting the Clinical Course of ADHD Using Cognition and Affect”
The aim of this grant is to evaluate the utility of employing an intermediate phenotype approach
incorporating cognitive, positive valence, and negative valence system risk markers of ADHD as
a novel, person-centered approach to parsing the behavioral heterogeneity of ADHD.
