Dear Business,
We are currently seeking sponsorship for our 2006-2007 programs and events. We have a variety of
sponsorship opportunities, all with various levels of advertisement that come with it and quite a range
in audience as well.
We have five categories of sponsorship available, depending on what market you are looking to
attract. They are as follows:
Special Event Sponsor –
Show Sponsor –
Trail Ride Sponsor Education Sponsor Rescue Horse Sponsor -
Clinics, Hunter / Pace, Parades, Drill Team
Open Horse Show and Playdays
Trail Rides and Annual Trail Ride / Fall Festival Event
Summer Camp, Girl Scout Camp, School Tours,
Permanent Equine Education Stations
Health and care for rescue horses
Each sponsorship category will tap into a different market. Obviously, all categories will attract horse
enthusiasts. Our Education and Show sponsors will see more of a family audience while our Special
Event and Trail Ride sponsors will see more of an adult population. Depending on what you are
looking for, all our categories have multiple opportunities for sponsor name recognition. Although we
are a young business, every one of our events met great success last year guaranteeing maximum
benefit for your sponsorship dollars in 2006.
Sponsorship monies will be sought for different purposes. Please see each individual category page
to see what your sponsorship dollars will go toward and what kind of benefit and recognition you will
receive. Many of our sponsors will receive cross recognition from the many overlapping events and
activities we have at Triangle H Farm.
Sponsorship with Triangle H Farm will give much opportunity for name recognition. With our four
different levels of sponsorship, there is an opportunity for every business. It is a worthwhile way for
your business to make the most of its advertising dollars. By targeting a select sect of the population,
you can adequately focus your market and measure the impact your dollars make on your business.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please don’t hesitate to contact us any time to discuss
any of these exciting business opportunities. We look forward to doing business with you.
Sincerely,
Marcy Heepke
What is Sponsorship
Sponsorship is the financial or in-kind support of an activity, used primarily to reach specified
business goals. According to IEG’s Complete Guide to Sponsorship, "the recipient of sponsorship
may be nonprofit, although sponsorship should not be mistaken for philanthropy. Philanthropy is
support of a cause without any commercial incentive whereas; sponsorship is undertaken for the
primary purpose of achieving commercial objectives. Sponsorship should also not be confused
with advertising. Advertising is considered a quantitative medium, whereas sponsorship is
considered a qualitative medium. It promotes a company in association with the sponsee."
A large number of events these days need sponsorship support to offer more exciting programs
and to help defray raising costs. Many companies are often thrilled to contribute sponsorship
support - monetary, in-kind, or both - when they can see that their participation will bring them a
return on their investment. Sponsorship allows companies to reach specifically targeted niche
markets without any waste. In addition, it is a powerful complement to other marketing
programs, in addition to having a dramatic influence on customer relations.
Why Sponsor
Sponsorship offers the possibility of achieving several goals at once. According to Schmader and
Jackson in their book, "Special Events: Inside and Out," there are many ways in which a
company can benefit from sponsorship, the six most popular reasons are:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
Enhancing image/shaping consumer attitudes
Driving sales
Creating positive publicity/heightening visibility
Differentiating themselves from competitors
Helping with good "Corporate Citizen" role
Enhancing business, consumer and VIP relations
Sponsorship is the fastest growing form of marketing in the U.S. It is still very much in its
infancy. With this in mind there are unlimited opportunities for companies to broaden their
competitive advantage by increasing their credibility, image and prestige in sponsoring events
attracting their target market.
It is for these reasons and more that we ask you to consider sponsoring with Triangle H Farms.
We believe you will be able to reach a targeted demographic in your marketing efforts while
partnering yourself with a fast growing, well respected farm business aimed at making a name
for itself in Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri.
There are many opportunities and levels for sponsorship participation. Review all the
opportunities and see where your business can fit in best. We would be happy to discuss your
needs and help you to match them to one of our sponsorship programs.
Show Sponsor
Show sponsors will help provide additional resources to our many shows we host throughout
the year. Horse Shows are a fun way to invite both the horse loving population and other
area residents to a live show involving athletes of both kind – horses and humans. They are
always entertaining and never boring.
Sponsorship dollars for shows will go to making the event professional and audience worthy.
Obviously, a horse show is only as good as its competition – horses and riders. By providing
prizes for winners, whether it be ribbons, trophies or money, prizes always guarantees
competitors for the shows.
Sponsorship dollars would also go to setting up permanent show equipment – bleachers,
jumps, announcement podium – the type of equipment that could bear your sponsorship
name and logo throughout the entire show season.
By sponsoring classes at a show, sponsors would have an opportunity to meet the
competitors themselves and give out the winning prize. A rewarding experience in itself that
you just can’t get when spending your marketing dollars in paper advertisements. This kind
of opportunity puts a face with a name – a powerful marketing tool for both the competitors
and the audience and you can’t put a price tag on that.
Ultimately, show sponsorship is a powerful marketing opportunity and one in which any
business would greatly profit.
