Story Time Comes to Life
10:00AM -12:00PM
June 24-28
Ages 4-6
Get ready to explore some of childhood’s favorite stories, including ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’, through
a variety of movement and artistic activities. Students will have a blast creating props to use in their
performance on the Museum Stage on the last day of camp.
Fee: $60 per child

Kids in the Kitchen

Ages 4-6
Come measure, mix, and pour your way through tasty child-friendly recipes. This camp is all about
preparing, cooking, and eating the delights that you create while learning fun cooking terminology.
Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance.

Backyard Exploration

In this camp you will discover, identify, and examine some things from the world outside our
doorsteps. You will be creating your own personal Explorer’s Kit so you can continue the adventure
at home.

This camp is an introduction to the basic science areas with fun hands-on experiments; including
chemistry and engineering. Roll up your sleeves and put on your thinking caps as you explore the
fascinating world of science.

Spa Creations

Ages 6-10
Come make your own spa concoctions as we explore the importance of keeping our skin clean
and healthy. This camp is hands-on and lots of fun! You will create your own bath salts, fizzy bath
bombs and more.

Young Authors

Ages 6-10
Kelly Hawkins, of Kelli & Kelly Books for Kids, will help kids get organized and stay focused in their
stories and streamline them into a family best seller! Come learn basic writing techniques and
experiment with illustration styles. You will leave the camp with a complete book and information
on publishing.

Museum Campers

We are bringing the fun indoors to experience the joys of camping in a warm, dry environment.
Come help us pitch a tent and explore nature related crafts, games, and activities around our
museum camp fire.

Digging Dinosaurs

Ages 3-5
Come explore the ancient world of dinosaurs. Learn all about T-Rex and other dinosaurs in this
dynamic camp where you will be creating, sculpting, studying fossils and engaging in prehistoric
pursuits. This camp will be filled with exciting, creative and fun activities.

Making Mad Science

July 29- Aug 2
Ages 3-5
Come explore science through exciting experiments. Budding scientists will never know how much
they are learning in this hands-on camp! This is a great opportunity for children to engage in
meaningful activities while using the critical thinking tools of a scientist.

Toddler Explorations

July 29-Aug 2 Ages 18-36mon
This is a time for toddlers and their caregivers to explore experiences together. Your little one will
experience a variety of smells and textures through fun bonding activities. This camp is a wonderful
opportunity to develop and practice fine and large motor skills and engage in all the fun of learning
with an emphasis on art and sensory activities.

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles

Ages 3-5
Build and experiment with different vehicles each day, while learning about the science of
movement. Students will construct vehicles, build ramps, and talk about the basic principles of
motion.

Getting Messy with Art

Ages 3-5
Roll up your sleeves and let your imagination take off in this camp where students will use paint, clay,
creation station supplies, and more! Participants will get elbow deep in colorful, creative work.
Remember to dress for ‘messy’ activities.

Cake Baking & Decorating

Ages 5-9
Learn the secret to creating beautiful and tasty treats. Each child will bake and decorate their own
individual cake. We will mix up the batter, make the icing, create with fondant and learn how to
make flowers with icing! Save room for goodies at the end of camp.

Artistic Explorers

Aug 12-16
Ages 5-9
We will explore a different art medium each day, including paper-making, paint, clay, fingerpainting, ice sculptures, and much more. Students will also be creating an ongoing group project,
which will progress each day. By week’s end, we will have created a beautiful piñata that we will
break open together. On the final day, our young artists will exhibit their work at 3:00pm.

Create & Make with Plaster

Aug 17
Ages 3-6
Come to this camp to explore plaster as an art medium. Be ready to get a little messy and have fun
while we get hands-on with creativity. You will create several truly original works of art in this one
day amp. Projects may require additional drying time.
Fee: $20 per child

Toddler Twist & Shout

Aug 19-23 Ages 18-36mon
In this camp, toddlers and their caregivers will have a delightful time connecting with each other
and the other camp participants. Come share in some fun with large motor activities using music,
movement, and literature while focusing on different aspects of language and social development.
You will enjoy exploring art, rhythm and sign language together.
Fee: $30 per child

Musikgarten Summer Class
Cycle of Seasons for Preschoolers (Ages 3-5)

Fee: $99 per child for 9 classes
Celebrate your preschooler’s growing independence and love of the outdoors with activities
involving the four seasons in The Cycle of Seasons. Developed to build attention and self-expression,
activities include singing, chanting, moving, focused listening, musical games, exploring musical
instruments, creative movement and storytelling. The Cycle of Seasons nurtures your growing child’s
ability to use language and participate in dynamic play within a musical context.
Fun family packets including wonderful music CDs are included for use at home to increase family
involvement in the learning process.

Note: Children do not have to be accompanied by an adult
if they are able to toilet independently.
In addition to creative camps and experienced instructors,
the Children’s Museum is offering Before and After Camp Care.
Before and After Camp Care is available from 8:30am-10:00am, 3:00pm-5:30pm and in
between the morning and afternoon sessions ($5/per hour, per child). Children will be provided
a snack mid morning and mid afternoon; children will bring their own lunch daily. All children
participating in this program must be able to toilet independently.
Camp Cancelation & Refund Policy
If you decide to cancel a class registration one week prior to the camp then the registration fee is
refundable. If cancelled less than one week in advance, you will receive a 75% refund. For a
cancelation 72 hours or less before the start of the camp, no refund is given.
Please note; payment is required to guarantee a spot in a camp.
