Goals for CAPP
Stronger college presence
-More activities and events based in colleges
-Need CAPP members to be aware of issues within their colleges and plan events
accordingly; communicate with masters and RAs
-Have monthly meetings with CAPP members in your college
-Be friends with the other CAPP members in your college!!!!
-Let people know that CAPP exists and that you’re a member
-Make signs to put in college with everyone’s pictures to hang in the commons
-(Don’t put drunk pictures on them)
-Door signs
More committee interaction
-Committee cohesiveness all year long rather than just before events
-Keep on top of events so no need to rush
-More brainstorming of ideas for committee events
-More meetings than in previous years
-Talk to Maura Leahy for event advice
-CAPP cannot do anything with alcohol :o(
General CAPP interaction
-Join the CAPP facebook group!
-Counseling center wants more community involvement, like public service
events with Community Involvement Center
-Co-coordinators planning to meet with CIC to get ideas for events so anyone
with ideas for events please contact one of them
-Sarah Baker wants peace on earth
-Try to intermingle at the retreat on Saturday because there’s lots going on
Stronger CAPP presence on campus
-Shirts will be out first semester this year
-Sarah claims the yellow color will be “flattering”
-Also we have old shirts that Jim can give us
Public meetings/office hours
-CAPP needs to be available year-round and people should be able to come to us
any time
-Office hours in wellness center conference room for a few hours each week
-It’s something new we’re trying to get set up
-A couple CAPP members will be there for people who want to walk in and talk
to someone from CAPP who is going to be there
-One of the worries is that people aren’t convinced about privacy so taking it out
of the college setting will help
-Hours at colleges is a possibility especially because it’s a trek to get there from
south colleges
-College liaisons who want to set up something within their own college
can do so
Upcoming events/meetings
