We are committed to offering the highest standard of education within the Health, Beauty and Skin Care Industry.
The College opened 14 years ago and is registered to offer International and Nationally recognized modular
courses with ITEC and SAAHSP. The Beauty Therapy Institute has franchised modular schools in Randburg
Gauteng and in Knysna. We relocated premises from Rondebosch to Upper Woodstock in the dynamic Upper
East Side building during 2010.

to any of these questions, we have a UNIQUE concept in Health, Beauty and Skin Care Therapy Training to
assist you to achieve your employment options.
We offer flexibility of learning on a modular basis at any time, place and pace to suit you. You choose the
module or diploma you are interested in studying. We enroll you into that one module or the various
combinations of modules. Entrance qualifications are individually determined during your interview and
ascertained on merit. It is not essential to attend regular theory classes, however practical class attendance at
the Institute is essential. Hours are flexible at the Institute to suit you. You choose your day/s and time/s. Each
module has a maximum number of hours required for practical training. Depending on how quickly you master
the skills will determine when you qualify.
Male learners make excellent therapists too, particularly focusing in various massage therapies as male
masseuses are well received and in high demand within the spa industry.
Theory and Practical assessments lead to BTI certificates, ITEC International diplomas and SAAHSP
National certificates. Once you are competent in your module, you are then certified to practice, and may
continue with additional modules if required. Regardless of your age, other commitments or prior qualifications,
flexible modular learning is available to you. Relevant SA ID required and International learners welcome with
applicable study permit.
Full time courses are also on offer at the college. This combines theory lectures together with practical lessons
on a two-year full time basis, with an elective Third year in Medi-Spa technology. Full Time learning leads to a
Higher Education Qualification in Health and Skincare Therapy, at Level 5, comprising of ITEC, SAAHSP and
CIDESCO examinations. Enquire further should you wish to follow this method of learning.
Fully furnished accommodation is available in Newlands and Knysna in an apartment. Do enquire.

Note: All course fees, kits, books and uniform are payable upfront, when registering for the
course. Credit card facilities are not available. Cash, bank or guaranteed cheque and EFT’s are
acceptable. No refunds are given on courses booked and paid for.

A once-off registration fee is payable upon registration at the college: R275.00.
Uniform costs are not included in the course fee and will need to be worn. Uniforms comprise of
black pants, white shirt/t-shirt, tunic and black closed shoes. Prices below. If not purchasing black
pants and white/slate grey top via the college, the learner will need to supply her own within the
required specifications.

Linen and Towels, Bowls and all Physical and Electrical Equipment is provided for your use at the
college, at no extra cost to the learner.
Hourly Rate (minimum group of 3) for theory subjects at R45 per hour.
ITEC International and SAAHSP National external examination and registration fees are not included Price on Request as they vary based on exchange rates and examination body prices.
BTI exam fees already included in course price.
Theory courses exclude the price of books – prices noted.
Practical and Theory courses exclude the price of the kits. Book prices included. Prices noted.
Projects/thesis or case studies are required for most modules as well as various other assignments.
First Aid course is module dependent. Basic Level 1 takes 2/3 full days of learning. Enquire further.
An extra external fee is charged for this prior to the course being held.
Gents are welcome to register as learners at the Institute.
EXPIRY DATE indicates the maximum time allocated for each module. Modules may take a shorter
duration to complete as they are learnt according to hourly allocations, at a flexible time and pace.
Should a learner not complete the module in the required time, an extra cost may be levied. Contract
periods may be extended, after discussion with the Principal, but will be left up to the college’s
discretion, with fair, valid and credible reasons.
Details within each module include other subject matter than those listed. All modules are highly
comprehensive, hence descriptions mention the basic content only.
Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended when working on a body.
Accommodation in Cape Town is available in an apartment in Newlands, next to the Newlands Rugby
grounds. 3 Fully furnished single rooms are on option. Fully furnished. Knysna has furnished
accommodation available to learners to study in the area.
