Bethel’s academic catalog and transfer information can be viewed online at
www.bethel.edu. It can also be sent to you or it is available in the Normandale CC
counseling office.
This transfer guide is designed to help a student at Normandale Community College easily and confidently
choose courses to take at NCC that will satisfy Bethel general education (core curriculum) requirements.
Unless otherwise indicated, one (1) course from each area will satisfy that gen ed requirement. Pages 16-31 in
the 2011-2012 Bethel Catalog provides further information regarding Bethel’s transfer and general education
requirements. In most cases, with careful planning you will be able to fulfill NCC curriculum objectives ,
while also completing coursework that Bethel requires. Contact Bethel or NCC for assistance with your
planning.
Here are some additional guidelines to consider:
- Most courses required for a specific academic major should be taken at Bethel.
Students in majors that have sequential courses (such as the sciences) must plan
carefully with the specific department at Bethel.
- Any NCC course taken to satisfy a requirement for a major at Bethel should be approved by
the specific academic department at Bethel.
- Bethel’s programs are designed to be completed in 4 years. Early communication with you
will allow Bethel to help you to determine when it is best for you to transfer.
- Courses that are listed under more than one category can only count once. Students can
choose which category they prefer.
- A grade of ‘C’ or higher is required on each course to be accepted by Bethel.
-An official transcript must be sent to Bethel once the course is completed and grade is posted.
