


HOERBIGER (Canada) Ltd. Named as a New Authorized Distributor for GE’s Waukesha Gas
Engines and Genuine Parts in Canada
Agreement strengthens Waukesha Sales and Service Coverage for end users across the country
HOERBIGER will support the country’s growing Waukesha installed base for customers in any
application, including power generation, gas compression and mechanical drive.
WAUKESHA, WIS.—April 29, 2015—Continuing to expand its global Waukesha sales and services network
to meet the growing demand for power at or near the point of use, GE’s Distributed Power business
(NYSE: GE) today announced it has signed an agreement with HOERBIGER (Canada) Ltd. to be an
authorized distributor for GE’s Waukesha gas engine products in Canada
Established in 1972, HOERBIGER (Canada) has strong experience supporting the industrial sector in
eastern Canada and the oil and gas industry in western Canada as a leading energy services company.
HOERBIGER currently supports hundreds of Waukesha engine operations in Canada through their strong
service network that includes dozens of highly-skilled engine technicians. With millions of dollars in
genuine product and parts inventory, HOERBIGER is well-positioned to partner with Waukesha end users
active in any power application. As an authorized distributor for sales and service in Canada, HOERBIGER
can improve a Waukesha end user’s operations with a complete lifecycle of engine coverage, including
installation and startup, upgrades and overhauls with genuine parts, and factory warranties.
“With our new distributor agreement for GE’s Waukesha gas engines, we will be able to greatly enhance
the customer experience for professionals in Canada’s domestic energy industry, ranging from oil and gas
power to industrial on-site power production,” said Tom Richardson, President of HOERBIGER (Canada)
Ltd. “Our skilled team of Waukesha-certified engine technicians and mechanics ensure immediate, local
customer support—both on-site and in-shop—for Waukesha gas engines.”
At HOERBIGER’s Spruce Grove facility in Alberta, the company provides full-load testing to Waukesha
engines. The facility has the current capability of running continuous, 4,000 hp dynamometer testing, but
has the natural gas capacity to increase this to 10,000 hp continuously. This helps ensure a seamless onsite start-up and can reduce installation and commissioning time by half.
HOERBIGER (Canada) also is investing in local inventory for common parts and is supported through a
central inventory hub located at Spruce Grove.
“Canadians who need on-site power for their operations should be excited to hear HOERBIGER has been
chosen as a new sales and service distributor for GE’s Waukesha gas engines,” said Darryl Wilson, chief
commercial officer for GE’s Distributed Power Business. “HOERBIGER is a trusted name for service
excellence, backed up by an incredibly strong infrastructure of testing, immediate field response and
genuine parts support.”
