ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA
with
HONORS ENDORSEMENT
Requirements for the Freshman Class of 2007-2008
The Honors Endorsement of the Alabama High School Diploma is a program of intensive study in the core
subject areas. This endorsement was developed by the Baldwin County Public School System to provide
special recognition for students who complete such a challenging course of study. Students must complete
the courses listed below and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.7 in the 18 courses noted with “ ” to qualify for a
Diploma with Honors Endorsement. Each of these 18 courses must be taken during the regular school day
on a local high school campus. Students who complete the courses listed below, but do not achieve a
minimum GPA of 3.7 in the 18 noted courses, will receive a Diploma with Advanced Academic
Endorsement.
Credit earned through the technical (applied) academic courses will not satisfy the core curriculum
requirements for a Diploma with Honors Endorsement.
