POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE
The Mucosal Immunity laboratory, affiliated with the faculty of Biology and Medicine at
the University of Lausanne, specialises in innate immunity and epithelial biology. The
major focus of research is to elucidate the expression and function of endogenous,
anti-inflammatory molecules including antimicrobial peptides with a view to
developing therapeutics. We also investigate signalling pathways activated by
pathogenic and commensal bacteria and bacterial molecules in mucosal epithelial
cells.
We are seeking an outstanding post-doctoral fellow to perform research in these
areas. A creative, ambitious individual with a PhD or MD PhD and a keen interest in
innate immunity and intracellular signalling pathways is sought. Expertise in
molecular biology and bioinformatics is necessary. Experience in proteomics and
post-translational modifications would be a plus. Strong presentation and writing
skills are required.
Candidates should possess the ability to develop research ideas; the successful
individual will be encouraged to apply for his/her own fellowship.
Please send informal queries and applications, consisting of a CV, statement of
