Country Report Paper for the Thematic Workshop on
“Water-Related Disaster and Its Management” in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, 26-29 November 2007
Scope of Country Report
The participants should prepare country or river basin case that look at implementation water-related disaster management. Each paper should cover the key elements outlined below in order to provide commonality across cases.

Water related disasters in participants’ country or river basin in the last 10 years.
Feasible and effective measures to cope with the disasters.
(e.g. Law and Institution, Early warning system, Community Partnership, etc.)
Disaster management concepts in country or river basin level.
Strategies or action plans for either country level or organizational and an outline or roadmap to put disaster management into practice.
Case studies and field experiences on actual disaster management at a basin and country level.
Good practices of local actions in management of water related disasters.
