America is in need of a fundamental restructuring of our economic policy to promote the well-being
of working families and communities everywhere. In an effort to raise public awareness about what
caused the economic downturn and offer solutions, USAction and the National Community
Reinvestment Coalition are partnering with more than 30 national and local organizations to hold
The Road to Economic Recovery Week of Action.
A Town Hall, one of 30 taking place across the country the week of December 8-12, will feature
local experts presenting the causes of the economic crisis, testimony from local citizens about the
impact in your community and a call for a solution to the current economic crisis by elected officials.
We cordially invite you to attend our Town Hall meeting and share with the audience your
plans to address the economic crisis and how we can work together to change public policy. It is
our hope that through this interactive forum, a stronger message of the need for foreclosure
mitigation, increased financial accountability and economic recovery for working families will
emerge.

you would like your elected official to support and promote at the meeting, with the local media, and
in Washington, DC. This could also highlight how your organization plans to work in partnership
with your elected official and other community groups to create a movement for economic recovery
