Remember that the
Project Must Include:

Electronic Timeline
o 15 dates or major events from your civilization
 Major event is defined as an event that had a significant effect on the formation
of the culture and it’s people. Major events should not all be war related.
o Description of major events
 All descriptions should be complete and directly related to the photos and help in
understand the history of your civilization
 Descriptions should be accurate and relevant
o 20-30 photos or images
 All images should relate to the major events on the timeline
 Images should all directly relate to the topics discussed
 Images should be accompanied by descriptions/captions
o 10 “Hot Spots”
 hotspots can be links to websites, video or interactive material
 Hotspots should all include titles and details about your

Spelling and Grammar
o Free of all spelling and grammar errors
o Well Written Text
Research Check-in – 20 points – Due Tuesday December 13th
 Completed research packet with lots of useful historical information about your civilization.
 Much of your research should be done at this point and you should be ready to start creating
the on-line portion.
Rough Draft – 40 - Points - Due Thursday December 15th
 All of the above components of project completed
 Project looks “finished” but needs editing and additions made
Final Project - 100 points – Due Wednesday Dec. 21

Choose links that you think will be good to include as “hot
spots” for your project
 Presentation Settings
Be sure to set the presentation setting and speeds on
your project so that it runs smoothly.
 Editing/Proofreading
PROOF READ YOUR WORK!! Be sure all links and hot
spots are working!
 Extension Challenges
You may include the items below to earn extra credit on
you project.
