PURPOSE:
To help men and women, who meet eligibility requirements, to start their post-secondary educational
pursuits
AMOUNT:
Two (2) scholarships are offered. Each is in the amount of $2,500
ELIGIBILITY:
Two (2) scholarships are available to:
carriers and/or former carriers of the Medicine Hat News
former players in the Medicine Hat or Redcliff Minor Hockey or Ringette Associations.

Selection will be made on the basis of high school academic performance of the FIVE (5) Academic Core
Grade 12 30-Level Subjects.

Proof of membership in either the Medicine Hat Minor Hockey or Ringette systems

Attached is a copy of proof of enrollment from the University, College or Technical Institute

Involvement in extra-curricular or community activities is also taken into consideration.
**Selection will be carried out by an independent committee and may involve an interview with the applicant. Applications will not be
accepted from past winners of a News scholarship.**
