Residency Program. The information provided here is a brief description of what
you can expect to receive from our residency program.
At Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, this one year PGY -1 program offers an
effective education opportunity. Our mission is to provide excellent patient care
through collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals.
Our program is comprehensive, hands-on, and has produced exceptional
opportunities for past Residents.
The Residents will participate in educating other healthcare providers, patients
and pharmacy students on various drug therapies. They will develop leadership
skills, design and execute a clinical research project, and exhibit a commitment to
patients, colleagues, community and profession.
Pharmacists completing this residency will be able to provide effective, confident
and compassionate direct patient care in multiple environments. They will be
able to promote safe and effective medication usage and optimize drug therapy
outcomes through evidence based medicine as a member of the healthcare team.
At Children's Healthcare of Atlanta we are committed to providing an excellent
