AGENDA
NOTE: Owners/Applicants are not required to attend this meeting. However, owners/applicants are required to attend the
Preservation Commission meeting on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, when the R&TA will report to the Commission what
standards for review apply to each project listed below. R&TA does not recommend nor makes decisions on the approval
of Certificates of Appropriateness. The R&TA meeting is open to the public.

NEW BUSINESS
A. Review & Technical Assistance Committee (R&TA)
1. 2249 Sherman Avenue – Demolition of rear existing 1-story addition, porch, deck and ramp, removal of attic
window (east elevation). Construction of 2-story addition and wooden deck at rear of house (east elevation).
New 3’ high fence of composite material to screen A/C on the south side yard. Connector section north and
south elevations: replace existing cedar siding in kind between the existing house and the new 2-story
addition; remove windows and add new wood aluminum clad windows; add two skylights on the roof facing
south; install new metal door at grade level on north elevation. All new windows on the 2-story addition are
wood aluminum clad windows. Project requires minor zoning variances for 3’ setback from the north property
line, required = 5’ and the proposed 8” eave projection (yard obstruction), maximum allowed = 6”.
