LODGING AND DINING: A DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE AT CALLAWAY GARDENS®
PINE MOUNTAIN, GA – Callaway Gardens®, in the Southernmost foothills of the
Appalachians just 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta, is a combination of 13,000 acres of
breathtaking gardens, a variety of accommodations, services and excellent conference
and recreation facilities.
Callaway Gardens offers a range of accommodations from comfortable rooms at
the Mountain Creek™ Inn to charming Southern Pine™ Cottages and deluxe
Mountain Creek Villas.
The Mountain Creek Inn features 228 guest rooms and suites. Each room is
complete with extra-thick terry towels and remote-controlled televisions. Some rooms
feature king-sized beds, including the Gardens View rooms, which overlook the pool or
the wide, velvet-green lawn. Also available are large Roof Garden suites with one or
two bedrooms, a parlor and other amenities.
The Southern Pine Cottages, with 154 recently renovated two-bedroom units,
are always a popular choice for families or small groups. A relaxing and private place to
stay, the Cottages offer spacious living and dining areas, fireplaces, screened porches,
decks and many modern conveniences of home.
The luxurious Mountain Creek Villas are the ultimate in privacy. Each of the 57
villas features a large living and dining area, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer
and dryer, screened porch, patio, sundeck and a separate bath for each bedroom. The
secluded villas range from two- to four-bedrooms.
The Cottages and Villas are available for an overnight stay or purchase.
With a variety of restaurant options, dining at Callaway is an outstanding
experience. Each restaurant has a character of its own, with menus ranging from
wonderful buffets to Continental cuisine. In the Mountain Creek Inn, the Plant Room is
famous for its generous breakfast buffet as well as the scrumptious Friday night Surf &
Turf Buffet and Saturday night Classic Southern Buffet. The adjacent Vineyard Green
Restaurant & Spirits is a great option for lunch and dinner in a relaxing atmosphere.
The Gardens Restaurant offers a warm, tasteful décor and a lovely porch that
overlooks Mountain Creek Lake and Lake View Golf Course. Guests enjoy an incredible
line-up of entrees, all with Georgia-theme items such as Vidalia onions, grits,
muscadines and more.
Adjacent to the Southern Pine Cottages’ meeting facilities, Rockin’ Robins Malt
Shop & Pizzeria (open seasonally) features an array of sandwiches, salads, pizzas and
ice cream. With its fun, the soda shop atmosphere appeals to adults and children alike.
Champions restaurant, in the Mountain View Clubhouse, features indoor and
outdoor seating. With a selection of delectable sandwiches, salads and a well-stocked
bar, Champions is popular for golfers and Gardens guests.
At the Country Kitchen atop Pine Mountain in the Callaway Gardens Country
Store®, sightseers get their fill during breakfast, lunch or dinner on the glass-enclosed
porch overlooking Callaway Gardens. The Country Kitchen’s specialties of Speckled
Heart® grits, homemade biscuits, muscadine sauce and cured ham make an especially
hearty meal. Visitors always enjoy browsing among the Callaway Gardens Country
Store®s extensive collection of Callaway food items and unique gifts.
The Discovery Café offers a light, cafeteria-style menu for guests preparing for
a day of exploring the Gardens. Located at the Virginia Hand Callaway Discovery
Center, this restaurant features sandwiches, salads and desert items.
Callaway Gardens is also a wonderful place to enjoy holiday meals with a special
themed buffets, private family dining options and meals-to-go for occasions such as
Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.
