Based on forensic research in logging of a PIX firewall I’ve analysed
network traffic and made changes in the rulebase of the firewall in order
to make it SOX compliant (Sarbanes Oxley Act). Basically it meant the
elimination of rules containing ‘any’statements.

As a member of a network management team Bart has participated in the
finalization and expansion of the ‘Shared Service Centre’, the common
datacentre for all departments of the Ministery of Justice. Operational
network management has also been part of the daily activities. The
network infrastructure of the datacentre mainly consisted of Cisco
network devices.

Hutchison 3G (H3G)
LogicaCMG Wireless Networks, which develops messaging software for
the telecom market, has done a large project for the Asian telecom
operator Hutchison 3G. On sites of H3G, in various countries, a large and
complex system for third generation mobile communication (UMTS) has
been implemented.
Bart had the role of Network Integrator in the
projects Austria, Denmark and United Kingdom. The activities for Austria
took place in Vienna, activities for Denmark took place in Stockholm
(Sweden), and activities for the UK took place in Reading, Birmingham
and other UK sites.
Task description

Installation and configuration of routers, switches and loadbalancers
in the Messaging Solution.

Responsible for cabling and IP connectivity in the Messaging
Solution.

Integration of the Messaging Solution into the IP network of H3G
Austria.

Integration of additional networking components and changes in the
