QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITERIA TO BE ADDRESSED
The following is a list of Operational Capabilities that need to be addressed in your written
application. Please note, to be successful in the position, all criteria outlined in the Job and Person
Specification are required to be met and will be assessed throughout the selection process.

A relevant degree qualification in Social Work and/or related fields as accepted by the Chief
Executive;

Demonstrated ability to conduct professional and comprehensive assessment interviews;

Demonstrated ability to work with a culturally and socially diverse group of offenders, and to
apply a culturally responsive framework to guide assessment and treatment planning;

Proven experience in communicating clearly, both verbally and in writing;

Demonstrated ability to produce quality reports in an efficient and professional manner;

Proven experience in the area of offender assessment and report writing

Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive criminogenic needs assessments, including
criminogenic case formulation, risk assessment, needs assessment and treatment planning;

Demonstrated ability to apply a high level of professional judgement to determine risk factors
and treatment priorities;

Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum of direction and to effectively communicate with
and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team;

Knowledge and understanding of Departmental Core Values (Code of Ethics) and the
Employee Conduct Policy; and

Knowledge and understating of the Risk/Needs Model of Offender Rehabilitation as it applies to
offender assessment and treatment planning.


Referees should be those who can provide recent information regarding your relevant work /
other experience – if possible provide your referees with a copy of the Job and Person
Specification.

Provide evidence of essential Educations / Vocational Qualification –If you have overseas
