PAYMENT INFORMATION
COURSE FEES
Course fees cover the provision of documentary material (with the exception of*), plus tea, coffee and sandwich lunches.
Please ensure that send payment with your completed application form. Please see ‘how to pay’ below.
Daily Rates
Block Booking
£55 for half-day courses
£90 for full day courses, with the exception of*
£150 for the Greek Palaeography I & II, Reading and Editing Renaissance
Manuscripts I & II, Codicology and Cataloguing Medieval Manuscripts I & II, and
Medieval Devotions and Liturgy I & II (those wishing to take one day only will be
charged the standard full day rate)
*£95 for Quills and Calligraphy (£5 extra to cover the cost of materials)
Students may choose any combination of courses as available.
£225* for those wishing to make a block booking for three days.
£295* for those wishing to make a block booking for four days.
£350* for those wishing to make a block booking for five days.
(*if the Quills and Calligraphy course is included, an additional £5 is due)
HOW TO PAY
Payments by debit/credit card*.

fees by credit/debit card (i.e. Visa / MasterCard / Maestro / Solo (UK only) / Visa Debit. No other credit cards (e.g.
American Express) can be accepted by the University.
When making a payment online you will receive a payment reference number beginning ‘UOL’.

Payments by cheque
Cheques must be made payable to “University of London”. Cheques should be in GB Pounds (£) Sterling and are only
acceptable if drawn on a UK bank account.

Cancellation/ fee policy
1. Non-attendance on the day or cancellations made after 5 June 2014 will not be refunded.
2. A student is not regarded as fully enrolled on a course unless full payment of the course fee has been made.
3. The Summer School reserves the right to withdraw courses or alter course outlines and other details without prior
notice as required. If the LIPSS withdraws a course, any fee paid will be refunded.
4. Students will be notified by 5 June 2014 if there are insufficient numbers for a course to run. In this event, students
will be offered a place on another course or a refund.
