QUANTUMCOOLER SERIES 4000
The Series 4000 QUANTUMCOOLER systems are fully automatic for unattended 24 hour per day operation.
They may be configured for use either as a reliquefier, condensing cold helium gas into liquid or as a
liquefier, cooling room temperature helium gas to 4.2 K then condensing it.
As a reliquefier, no helium leaves the target dewar and hence no helium gas recovery system is required.
This provides closed-cycle cooling for systems which require a liquid helium bath, such as MRI units.
The liquefier system allows recondensing of the cold boiloff gas while also permitting the liquefaction of
additional helium from a room temperature gas source. Each liquefier system incorporates an automatic
internal helium gas purifier.
Reliquefier systems are equipped with a flexible, non-magnetic "QUANTUM INTERCONNECT" line, which
terminates with a small cold finger residing in the target dewar. Liquefier systems may, if desired, have an
internal liquid helium reservoir instead.
