POST:
Temporary Fundraising/Events Assistant, mid May-July 2013.

TERMS:
Full or part time iro £13.5k p. a. pro rata ; some flexible
working may be considered, some evening events will be
required.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To fill a staff gap immediately to support the Head of Fundraising and Chief Executive
in following through the delivery and administration of a number of fundraising
activities and events in the run up to the reopening of No 1 Royal Crescent in late June
2013.
Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
1. Administration
To support the current fundraising activities including:

creating, maintaining and updating fundraising records

managing the supply, distribution and mailing of fundraising literature including
brochures, leaflets, donation forms, letters etc
2. Database management

To be responsible for recording, processing and ensuring acknowledgement of all
incoming donations and pledges including gift aid where appropriate

Maintaining the spreadsheet of donations and keeping track of phased donations
and redemption of pledges

Recording ongoing actions, meetings, communications and contacts with donors
and donor prospects
3. Events
Support the organisation, planning and smooth running of fundraising and
cultivation events including:

preparing invitation lists, designing and arranging printing of invitation cards

producing and despatching letters and other invitation materials

monitoring and chasing responses

preparing name badges and other items to be given and presented to attendees

liaising with event venue/s and caterers etc

checking everything on event checklist has been actioned; sending out materials
to non-attendees;


Essential




Able to start (almost) immediately
Competent and self supporting on Microsoft Office programmes
Confident to learn fundraising database e-tapestry
Discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
Desirable
 An appreciation of the work of the Bath Preservation Trust
 Knowledge of membership schemes or fundraising
 Proven success undertaking administrative duties in an office
 Event management experience
Personal qualities
 Highly literate
 A skilled verbal communicator face to face and on paper
 Self-starter with initiative but the good sense to know when to seek approval
