*SAMPLE* Major and Minor Scales
Each student will be given a note to call “do” (for major scale). The student must sing a major scale, up and down,
using solfege syllables. The student must then find the note “la” and sing a natural minor scale in the relative minor,
up and down. Students may sing scales at whichever tempo they choose, but with minimal pauses. Students must
achieve at least a “Basic” level in all columns to receive a passing grade in this class.
