DISEASES OF ANIMALS (INFECTIOUS BOVINE
RHINOTRACHEITIS) (JERSEY) ORDER 2012
Explanatory Note
Article 1 of this Order adds infectious bovine rhinotracheitis to the list of diseases to which
Article 4 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 applies.
One effect of Article 1 of the Order is that a person who has cattle in his or her possession or
under his or her charge is required, under Article 4 of that Law, to report to the Minister any
case of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis in the cattle and to segregate the affected cattle.
Article 2 of this Order prohibits the use of vaccines against infectious bovine rhinotracheitis
except under licence granted by the Minister for Planning and Environment.
