Residential Parking Zone Permits
A Residential Permit Parking Zone (RPZ) is an area established by a city ordinance to restrict non-residential
parking on neighborhood streets. Residents and their guests are exempt from the restrictions if they are
parking legally and displaying a valid RPZ permit.
New RPZ Permits
Citizens can obtain RPZ permits from Service First. In order to qualify for a permit, the citizen must be a
resident in the parking zone. Each household can have as many owner vehicles as they desire, but all
vehicles need to be registered through the RPZ permit process. Households are allowed only 4 visitor/guest
permits.
To receive your parking permit, you must have:
 A photocopy of proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, rent receipt, driver’s license)
 A photocopy of Washington vehicle registration
RPZ Permit Renewals
Citizens choosing to pay in person rather than mail their renewal, need to provide Service First a renewal letter
and an application that lists the following information:
Permit Number
Vehicle Make/Model
License Number
